ANTHONY M. ("TONY") FADELL, a computer engineer, is the Founder & CEO of Nest, the Internet-based, learning thermostat.
Fadell is best known as "the father of the iPod" and one of the driving forces behind the iPhone. While at Apple, he led the team that created the first 18 generations of the iPod and the first three generations of the iPhone. on his departure from Apple in 2008, he was Senior Vice-President of the iPhone/iPod Division.
Before Apple, he built the Mobile Computing Group at Philips Electronics. Fadell has authored more than 100 patents. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors in Computer Engineering.
