ANDREW DELTON is an an evolutionary psychologist studying the nature and origins of the psychology of cooperation and generosity. Much of his research has experimentally tested whether there are psychological specializations for collective action and group cooperation. Another related line has used theoretical modeling to show how individual selection creates minds predisposed to be extraordinarily generous. Delton is currently a postdoctoral scholar at the Center for Evolutionary Psychology and the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, University of California, Santa Barbara.
