SABINE HOSSENFELDER is a research fellow at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies, which is an independent, multidisciplinary think tank dedicated to theoretical physics and adjacent fields. She has published more than 50 research articles on topics ranging from the physics of black holes to cosmology to the foundations of quantum mechanics. In the last decade, her research has focused on the question of where to best search for experimental evidence of quantum gravity.
Besides her research in physics, Hossenfelder has an interest in the philosophy and the sociology of science, which is reflected in much of the writing on her well read blog Backreaction. With support from the Foundational Questions Institute, Sabine has also produced several music videos in collaboration with Timo Alho and Apostolos Vasilidis.
