PHIL ROSENZWEIG is professor of strategy and international business at IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland, where he works with executives from leading companies on questions of strategy and organization.
He is an American citizen and a native of Northern California, where he worked for six years at Hewlett-Packard Company. Prior to joining IMD, he was assistant professor at Harvard Business School. He has a PhD from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (1990), an MBA from UCLA, and majored in economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Since 1996, he has taught and conducted research at IMD. Since 2008, he has been director of IMD’s Executive MBA Program. Client companies include Vodafone, Adidas, Coca Cola, Akzo Nobel, Lafarge, Schindler, Wolseley, and more. Over the past ten years, his interests have gravitated toward critical thinking, decision making, and understanding how managers think.
