ELIZABETH WRIGLEY-FIELD is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and a Faculty Member of the Minnesota Population Center. As a formal demographer and a sociologist, her work brings formal demographic techniques to the sociology of inequality and sociologically informed concerns about hidden dimensions of racial inequality to formal demography.
She has won several research awards, including the American Sociological Association's Clifford Clogg Award, the European Association for Population Studies's Gunther Beyer Award, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Genevieve Gorst Herfurth Award.
